WHERE WE ARE IN PLACE AND TIME
Central Idea
There are different perspectives when different cultures encounter one another.
Where we are in place and time was a I.B. session to learn about basically history and exploring a explorer, as you see below. One big thing we did was European Explorers research.
Explorer: Jessica Cramp
So when we were doing this project in our table group, Including Brett, Maria, Leslie, and I, we went through a lot of options, and finally came to Jessica Cramp, the Marine Conservationist. Here is the poster we did of her, and some of it is cut of at the bottom.
Pedro's Journal-Reflection
This reflection on a book, Pedro's Journal is to display all of the Natives, Pedro's, and Columbus's perspective through the form of a reflection on the book itself.

NASA Video Chat Reflection
So, one day in November, we had this awesome opportunity the whole 5th grade got to talk with a member of NASA and learn about some things they are planning to do soon. It was a amazing experience.
We did this whole project about all the European Explorers that came to America. This is some of the information I wrote about them. I mainly wrote about Christopher Columbus.

How were you...
How did you show...
I was balanced in the Who we Are i.b. Unit by balancing the time I spend with my friends, as listed in the Friendship paragraph in the Who We Are section. I way I showed I was a thinker was by thinking about all the qualities of me and the characters in Wonder Final reflection, and the Who We Are Silhouette, which are also in the Who we Are Section.
I showed empathy by, as listed in Wonder Final Reflection, for Auggie because he had gone though all this stuff, and I kind of felt bad for him, so I was empathetic to him. I showed commitment by in the the personal narrative, even though it was hard, I kept working on the narrative and finished it and got a great score.
